Technology-Based Performance Assessment – Technology-based Performance assessment involves students using a range of technologies to work on meaningful, higher order thinking, related, open-ended instructional assignments and to create authentic products that show the results of their learning.
Strengths – Technology-based performance assessments can be used to teach and test student abilities and skills. There is plenty of software available. It provides direct objective measurement of learning and stimulates the use of holistic assessment tools to assess the entire learning environment.
Weaknesses – Technology-based assessments can be costly and time consuming as far as design for students and teachers.
Role of Technology – Interactive assessment encompasses technology. This assessment is geared towards technology usage.
